Rotary Club award to social workers

GUWAHATI, Oct 25 - Rotary Club of Gauhati West has presented its Vocational Excellence Award to two dedicated persons who have been devoting their time and efforts for the service of old homeless individuals residing in Mothers Old Age Home at Bamunimaidan here.

The awardees were Utpal Harsvardhan and Monica Sharma, who started the old-age home five years ago. Currently the old-age home has 40 inmates and they are doing their best to keep the home running efficiently, a press release said.

As part of Rotary International programme, Rotary clubs across the globe recognise persons who excel in their vocation and do selfless work for the benefit and development of society and mankind, by presenting them with the Vocational Excellence Award.
