DIPHU, Oct 12 - The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang officially met the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TATA Cancer Trust recently in New Delhi.
Ronghang met the Chief Executive Officer and several high-level officers of the Tata Trust. According to report received, the TATA Cancer Trust agreed to launch a cancer care hospital at Diphu in Karbi Anglong hill district under the joint initiative of State government and the Tata Trust.
During their course of discussion, KAAC CEM appealed the CEO of TATA Cancer Trust to start the facility within this year for the benefit of financially unsound people in the district.
While informing about the development of the major discussion, Ronghang said it was extremely positive and it will be very opportunate for the poor people of the hill districts if the hospital is started promptly.
He further said that weaker section of the people in the hill areas will get treatment in low cost from the TATA cancer care hospital in Karbi Anglong.
