SIVASAGAR, May 31 - Romin Gogoi of Sivasagar Junior College secured the seventh position in the HS Science stream, the results of which were declared today.
Romin scored 474 out of 500 (94.8 per cent). He had earlier secured�the sixth position in his HSLC examination.�
A total of 10,904 students appeared from the district, out of which 8,916 passed.
In the Commerce stream, 496 candidates passed out of 586, in the Science stream, 1,502 passed out of 1,686, while in the Arts stream, 6,918 students were successful out of 8,632. The overall pass percentage in the district was 81.7.
Sivasagar Junior College, from among all institutions, secured 100 per cent results in all the three streams. The junior college had 123 star mark holders, 346 first divisioners, 133 in second division, and only 15 third division holders.
Ankita Bharadwaj secured the State highest marks in Computer Science, while Samiron Buragohain secured the highest in Geology � both from Sivasagar Junior College.
From Fuleswsari Girls� HS School, all 115 students cleared the HS exam in Arts stream, and 10 out of 13 passed in the vocational stream. Sivasagar Government HS School also achieved 100 per cent result in all four streams, with 186 students clearing the exam.
