TURA, Dec 3 - Two unidentified persons allegedly made an futile attempt at breaking into a branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) at Ampati, the headquarters of South West Garo Hills this morning.
The attempt was discovered this morning when the bank branch was opened. Bank officials in the FIR stated that there was an attempt of breaking into the branch.
The burglars reportedly tried to break open the main door�s lock but failed. They then scaled the wall and managed to get inside but could not enter the strong room. A security review of the bank�s strong room revealed that everything was in order and no money had been stolen.
