SILCHAR, Oct 15: Two persons were killed in a road accident in Rongpur area of Silchar on Sunday night.
According to police, the accident took place when a Maruti car fell into a pond at Rongpur around 11 pm.
The two persons inside the car who were killed were a 10-year-old girl and a woman aged around 55 years. Police said they were grandmother and granddaughter.
Meanwhile, the car driver is absconding.
