SHILLONG, April 21 - Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma informed the State Assembly that there was an encouraging result recently from a pilot project for the construction of a kilometre of road from plastic waste in West Khasi Hills district.
�Over 400 kg of disposed plastic was used to build a kilometre of road. The results were encouraging as the cost involved in the technology was around Rs 50 lakh, which is lower than the normal road construction cost,� he said recently.
