DIMAPUR, July 31 - Governor-designate of Nagaland, RN Ravi, arrived in the State this afternoon, along with his family. Ravi will be sworn in as the Governor at 11 am at the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan in Kohima tomorrow.

Chief Justice (acting) of the Gauhati High Court, Arup Kumar Goswami, will administer the oath of office to Ravi.

Earlier in the day, a large number of people in traditional attire gathered at the Dimapur airport to welcome the new Governor. The Nagaland Gaon Buras Federation organised the reception programme.

Holding placards which read, Your presence has brought an air of optimism for our Naga issue, Naga solution will finally see the light of the day, etc., the people greeted Ravi on his arrival at the airport. They also presented bouquets to him. Ravi, however, did not give any public speech.

It may be noted here that Ravi had acted as the interlocutor representing the Government of India in the peace talks with the NSCN (I-M) and other Naga groups.
