DIBRUGARH, Oct 15 - The NF Railway Mazdoor Union staged a sit-in demonstration near the Railway workshop here in support of their various demands. The demonstration was organised in collaboration with the Dibrugarh unit of the NF Railway Mazdoor Union. Among those who attended the programme included Sanjib Bhattacharya, central vice president, Manoj Singh, central assistant general secretary, Pollock Gogoi, central publicity secretary, Dibakor Baruah, central organising secretary of NF Railway Mazdoor Union. Some of the major demands comprise filling up all vacant posts, sanction of additional posts commensurate with additional workload and additional train services, paying incentive bonus to the workshop staff, restoration of Old Pension Scheme and scrapping of the New Pension Scheme, stopping outsourcing of all regular nature jobs, implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations in the matter of upgraded payscales to different categories of staff, among others.
