GUWAHATI, Oct 19 � International rated player Rishita Sinha of St Mary�s English High School and Biwaswan Chowdhury of Maharishi Vidya Mandir become champions in U-11 and U-7 categories respectively in the PC Borooah Chess Tournament organised here today. Rishita scored 6.5 points from 7 rounds and remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. In the final round she drew her game against Shubhay Agarwal of Delhi Public School.
Anoushka Priyam of International School scored 6 points and got the second position in the U-11 category.
In the U-7 category, Biwaswan Chowdhury of Maharishi Vidya Mandir become champion by scoring 2 points. Baibhabi Baruah of SFS School bagged the second position. She also scored 2 points.
The tournament was conducted in Swiss League system for 7 rounds. Altogether 30 players participated in the tournament.
