GUWAHATI, April 21 - Assam players Rishav Brahma, Medhansh Jain and Kristo Boro made it to the finals of the boys� U-16, U-12 and girls� U-12 categories respectively in the All India Championship Series Tennis Tournament, being played at the Bengal Tennis Association�s courts in Kolkata.

On the fourth day of the championship today, Rishav Brahma trounced Anurag Agarwal of West Bengal 6-3, 6-2 in the boys� U-16 semifinal.

Another Assam boy Medhansh Jain beat his State mate Anchit Gogoi 6-0, 6-0 to enter the boys� U-12 final. In the girls� U-12 category, Kristi Boro outplayed Bengal girl Shimreen Ahmed 6-0, 6-2 in the semifinals. However, Krishti went down to Rupkatha Mukherjee 3-6, 2-6 in the girls� U-16 semifinal. All the finals will be played tomorrow.

It was a very hot day in Kolkata, but despite that all the Assam players performed superbly and earned final berth, informed All Assam Tennis Association secretary Ankush Dutta.
