DIMAPUR, Dec 30 � Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today expressed deep sadness over the death of the Delhi gang-rape victim in Singapore.
In a condolence message, the CM said the heinous crime committed on her had shocked everyone and prayers had been with her and her family for her recovery. And despite her terrible situation, he said the reports of her courage and fighting spirit had come as an inspiration.
Though she has sadly lost the battle, the CM�s message said her death should not go in vain. �Her story has in a way woken up the nation and this must be taken forward in making the entire country a safer place for women and children,� it said.
