Rijiju for better railway connectivity

ITANAGAR, June 27 � To improve railway connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh and to review the existing facilities in the railway network, Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju yesterday convened a meeting with Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and senior officials of the Ministry in Delhi.

Rijiju during the meeting, took up the issues of train services in the NE and security issues related to passengers, an official communique said.

The meeting decided to introduce new railway coaches and better coaches in Naharlagun-Delhi AC SF Express train and to launch a new train from Morkongselek (Jonai) to Guwahati so that eastern parts of Arunachal Pradesh were better connected with the rest of India. � PTI
