Rich tributes paid to Khudiram Bose

HAILAKANDI, Dec 4 - Sahid Khudiram Bose was remembered in Hailakandi on Thursday on the occasion of his 102nd birth anniversary. The main programme was organised jointly by the All India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO), Komsomol and All India Mahila Sanskritik Sanghatan (AIMSS) in Matijuri point of Hailakandi district.

The programme started with the garlanding of the portrait of Bose by the students, members of these organisations and leading citizens. The members of Komsomol Bahini accorded guard of honour to Bose. The meeting held on the occasion later was addressed by the member of state committee, Sanchita Shukla, secretary of the committee, Prabhas Chandra Sarkar, social activist and senior member of the party, Sushil Paul, Afjal Hussain Mazumder and Soma Paul of AIMSS.

All the speakers highlighted the present problems of the country like atrocities on women, farmers� movement, suicide of farmers due to anti-peasent policy, discrimination, anrarhy like situation throughout the country etc and said that the ideal of Bose now can show the way. They explained the life and ideal if Bose and his contribution and sacrifice for the liberty of the country.
