GOALPARA, Nov 17 - Burglars entered the kitchen room of the Baladmari Chahbagan Prathamik Vidyalaya under Goalpara district Balijana Education block on wednesday night by breaking the locks and looted 10 sacks of rice meant for the mid-day meal of the students.
According to the headmistress Binita Devi, the school has been repeatedly burgled and this is the fifth instance when the burglars have successfully stolen rice. She also informed that although the matter has been reported to the police on all the ocasions but till now the police haven�t been able to apprehend the culprits.
The local people are quite apprehensive at the lack of security right in the middle of the town and they demanded that all the miscreants be brought to book immediately and police should step up round-the-clock vigil to prevent such instances in the future.
