The people on the roadside also gathered near the Bolero. They managed to apprehend Priya and Kamal though the third culprit managed to escape. The Barpetaroad police station was informed of the incident and they took custody of both the accused and the driver.

After examination of witnesses, the court of PR Rajmedhi, Additional Sessions judge here came to the conclusion that both the accused were involved in the crime and passed the verdict on December 5.

While the Government was represented by the Public Prosecutor Md Sadulla, the accused were represented by advocates A Khan and AZ Choudhury.
