SHILLONG, Oct 13 - Meghalaya Minister in charge of Tourism Metbah Lyngdoh on Friday reviewed the ongoing tourism projects in Ri-Bhoi district.
The minister also visited the Orchid Water Sports Complex, Lake View Resort, Marngar Lake and Shillong Viewpoint at Ryndang. He sought information about the facilities available to tourists at the Orchid Water Sports Complex from officials concerned.
He asked the officials to ensure that cleanliness is maintained in all the tourist sites and take care to save the environment, especially the water bodies.
Lyngdoh also visited the Marngar Lake located at a distance of 5 km from Nongpoh town and expressed satisfaction over the maintenance of the site by the Marngar Eco Tourism Development Society.
During the visit, the minister was accompanied by Principal Secretary in charge of Tourism Rebecca Suchiang, Tourism Director Cyril Diengdoh and other officials.
