BISWANATH CHARIALI, Sept 19 - Five persons were apprehended on Tuesday night with the nails of a rhino by the officials of Eastern Range, Crime Investigation Range, SRPF, AFPF of Biswanath Wildlife Division with the help of Biswanath Police on the outskirts of Biswanath Chariali Town and Gohpur.
It needs mention here that the rhino was killed during the first week of April this year at Lokhora-chapori.
The arrested persons have been identified as Kaubati Pegu, Jibo Guru Pegu, Subham Kutum, Budhindra Kaman and Pranab Kutum.
According to sources, the Forest department has stepped up its vigil in various parts of Biswanath Wildlife division.
