PATACHARKUCHI, Oct 27 - In a major breakthrough, a suspected rhino horn was recovered by police and three persons were arrested in this connection, last night.
Following a tip-off, the police under the leadership of Ramandeep Kaur, SDPO, Bajali and with the help of CRPF 10 Bn carried out the operation and recovered a rhino horn from the house of Harimohan Boro, resident of Silbari under Baksa district. The horn weighs around 500 gram.
Police first nabbed Nareswar Gayari and Silvester Khujur of Daodhara area under Baksa district and as per the information received from them, police conducted a raid on the house of Harimohan Boro.
The trio informed that they were caring the horn from Bhutan to sell it to someone at Baghmara at Rs 15 lakh.
