Rhino horn recovered, four held

MORIGAON, Dec 12 - Acting on a secret tip-off, Jagiroad Police on Thursday night conducted a raid at Belguri village under Jagiroad PS and recovered a rhino horn. A police source said that four persons namely Deba Saikia, Babul Baruah, Ajoy Saikia and Gopal Das were arrested in connection with the recovery of the rhino horn from their possession. The source further disclosed that some poachers handed over the horn to the accused persons near Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary for selling the same.
