MANGALDAI, June 30 - The carcass of an adult female rhino with its horn gouged out was recovered today from an area under the old forest camp of the Orang National Park (ONP).
According to Divisional Forest Officer of Mangaldai Wildlife Division, Sunnydeo Choudhary, forest guards on June 27 heard a gunshot fired from a silencer-fitted gun and immediately launched an operation. While the rhino carcass was found today, the poachers are yet to be traced.
