RH Khan kin remanded to CBI custody

GUWAHATI, June 16 � The Special Judge, Assam, today remanded two relatives of RH Khan, the main accused in the financial scam in NC Hills Autonomous Council, to the custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a period of five days.

After recovery of Rs 13.45 crore from the residence of Amjad Hussain, the brother-in-law of RH Khan yesterday, the CBI arrested Hussain and one Amjad Ali, a nephew of Khan. They were produced before the Special Judge today and were remanded to CBI custody.

Meanwhile, the court also admitted the prayer of the CBI to keep the recovered money in safe custody and directed that the amount be kept in the custody of the State Bank of India, Panbazar branch.
