RGU felicitates UGC-NET, Assam-TET qualified students

GUWAHATI, Jan 17 - Royal Global University (RGU) felicitated 20 of its students who cleared UGC-NET and Assam-TET examinations, December 2019 with cash and certificates of appreciation on Friday, said a press release.

The successful students were felicitated by RGU Vice Chancellor Prof SP Singh, Chairperson (Academic) Prof AK Buragohain, Registrar Angira Mimani, Prof Krishna Baruah of RSL, Prof Amarendra Rajput of RSAPS and two other senior members.

Addressing the students, VC Prof Singh said suffering self-motivates a person to reach higher goals. Being good in academics is not enough, one should also be good in extra- curricular activities. One should keep pushing oneself for achieving the best yet never be satisfied until one reaches the zenith of success.

Prof Buragohain said student motivation is essential for every institution and faculty as guides will always support and encourage them. He spoke on how precious human life is, adding that one will be taller if one has a stronger foundation in the building of education.

Two students who were felicitated with Rs 50,000 each and certificates of appreciation were Igo Lollen and Rifa Deka. Fifteen students felicitated with Rs 10,000 each and certificates of appreciation were Akhinur Sultan, Nayana Bora, Saman Ali, Ashraful Rahman, Pragati Chutia, Papuli Konwar, Saddam Hussain, Hussain Swabnam Sadika, Mujakkir Hussain, Ankana Kalita, Ujjal Saikia, Mofidus Zaman, Sofiur Rohman Khan, Rofique Islam and Shahil Rana Bhuyan. Ph.D scholars Krishna Kumar Yadav, Kishan Bagdi and Laishram Samson Singh were given certificates of appreciation.
