GUWAHATI, June 21 - Royal Global School�s (RGS) girls team won the first Assam Valley Inter School Invitation Badminton Championship held from June 17 to 19.

Royal Global School defeated Maria�s Public School, Guwahati 2-0 in the final. The boys team also got the second position in the championship. Tanisha Singhania of RGS won the U-19 girls title defeating her team mate Deepshikha Dutta in the final. Tushar Sharmah of RGS won U-14 boys title while his school mate Shubham Agarwal got the second position in the U-19 category. The Royal Global School was also adjudged the best team in the championship. Altogether 8 schools participated in this event, stated a press release.
