GUWAHATI, Oct 7 - The Singhapurush RG Baruah Memorial on-the-spot art competition will be held on the Assam Tribune premises here tomorrow.
Organised by the Assam Tribune Sports Club, the State-level competition will be inaugurated by noted artist Noni Borpuzari at 11 am. The topic for the Class V-VII category is �Pollution: Threat to Nature� and for the Class VIII-X category students the topic will be �Portrait of RG Baruah�.
The winners of the essay writing competition will be awarded on October 17 at the Kanaklal Baruah auditorium, Assam State Museum. In a statement, the Club�s president Hiranya Kumar Barman and general secretary Debashis Sinha said the essays and paintings of the participants will be treated as a property of the Club and arrangements will be made to publish them.
