GUWAHATI, Jan 27: The two-day final match of the RG Baruah U-16 Inter District Cricket Tournament between Northeast Frontier Railway Sports Association (NFRSA) and Silchar remain evenly poised in Barpeta.
Put into bat, Silchar were all out for 178 in 58.1 overs. The match had a delayed start owing to bad weather and a total of 11 overs were lost during the first day’s play. Abhishek Deb scored 40 off 54 balls while Shiva Sinha chipped in with 35 off 94 deliveries. Kankan Kashyap scalped three wickets conceding 33 runs in his 12.1 overs while Ronit Akhtar and Debangshu Ghosh picked up two wickets each.
Coming into bat in their first innings, NFRSA were 26 for two in 17 overs. Ahad Barbuiya and Biki Roy picked up a wicket each while Rajveer Singh was unbeaten on 15.
