GUWAHATI, Oct 15 � The 114th birth anniversary of one of the architects of modern Assam, RG Baruah, will be observed on October 17 by the RG Baruah Smriti Rakhya Committee. The programme will begin at 7.30 am with a floral tribute to RG Baruah�s statue on bank of Dighalipukuri.
A public meeting will be held at 4.30 pm at the State Museum here. Educationist Dr Dulal Chandra Goswami will deliver a speech on �Guwahati � Present and Future and Singhapurush RG Baruah�.
The committee will felicitate Jyostna Hatibaruah, Khanindra Chandra Das and Pradip Chaliha for their contribution towards the betterment of society.
