It needs mention here that NULM registered SHGs are mainly city-based financial intermediary committee s consisting of 10-20 local women from the same municipal ward having homogenous social and economic background. The ALF group put up colourful display of the handmade products made up by different SHG groups, which are a means of their livelihood and entrepreneurial ventures.
On this day, CMMU Tezpur as per directives from the SMMU selected 75 SHGs from the grading list who will get RF of Rs 10000 each and 5 ALFs which have been registered under the Assam Cooperative Society Act who will get RF of Rs 50,000 each. The revolving fund (RF) assistance is given to SHGs for internal landing among the group members. It provides economic assistance to SHGs for starting income-generating activities. Under the scheme, SHGs will be given Rs 10000 each as one-time assistance for economic activities. This amount actually acts as a corpus to meet the members credit need directly and as a catalytic capital for leveraging repeat finance. It is given to SHGs that have been practising Pancha Sutra (Regular meeting, Regular saving, Regular inter loaning, Timely Repayments and up to date book of accounts).
