TEZPUR, April 1 - Common visitors approaching the settlement of different land-related disputes have alleged that the Revenue department of the DC office here has become a hub of some unscrupulous officers.
Meanwhile, a victim of such an incident, Nirala Deka a resident of Balipara area near here alleged that recently she approached ADC, T Pator who looks after the department for the change of status of a plot of land owned by her work has not been executed till date for not paying any bribe. However, she has already submitted a complaint to the State Revenue Minister Pallab Lochan Das to intervene in the issue. As stated in the complaint letter, she approached the ADC many a time for her work but as she refused to pay bribes in return for her work, he has not done her work.
Soon after receiving the complaint from the victim, the Minister has already issued a transfer order to the concerned officer. According to official sources, the corrupt officer has been transferred to Dhemaji.
