GUWAHATI, May 7 � Retired quality control officers of Food Corporation of India recently formed an NGO named Cultivators Empowerment and Post Harvest Avocation Society (CEPHAS) with the aim to promote foodgrain procurement and enhance capacity building of farmers, etc., in the Northeast, a press release issued by the Society said. In this connection, an inaugural programme is being organised at Swahid Bhawan near Guwahati Planetarium, Uzanbazar, here on May 9.
Senior officers of the Govt of Assam and Govt undertakings, senior officers of the Food Corporation of India, retired and a few regular employees of FCI, besides a few prominent personalities have been invited to grace the occasion.
