GUWAHATI, Dec 4 - The State government will build two rest houses at Khanapara here for the benefit of bus passengers travelling between Guwahati and Upper Assam destinations.
According to an official press release here today, Education Minister Sarat Barkataky, who is in charge of the Kamrup (Metro) district, issued an instruction in this regard at a meeting he held recently on development issues of the district.
One of the rest houses will be meant for male passengers, while the other will be meant for women passengers. Both houses will have toilet facilities.
The Guwahati Municipal Corporation has already started the preliminary task for constructing the rest houses. It is expected that both the rest houses will be inaugurated by January next year, added the press release.
