IMPHAL, June 8 � Re-polling was held in 72 polling stations in Manipur�s six Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) along with the rescheduled polling of Henglep District Council in Churachanpur on Saturday under tight security.
The repolling was held at 18 polling booths each in Senapati and Sadar Hills, 11 polling booths in Churachandpur, nine in Tamenglong and six in Ukhrul.
State Election Commission sources said that there was no untoward incident during the repolling. The turn out of voters was also high as in the past. However, the poll percentage is not available till the report goes to the press. On June 1, polling was held to elect 144 district council members in six ADCs � Chandel, Churachandpur, Sadar Hills, Senapati, Tamenglong and Ukhrul in five hill districts.
