BISWANATH CHARIALI, Jan 20 - The remains of two wild elephants were reportedly found deep inside Behali Reserve Forest along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border under East Sonitpur Forest Division.
The remains of a female elephant were found at Rajapukhuri area, while that of a calf was found near Naharjan nullah. Though the Forest Department claimed it to be cases of natural death, yet the local people suspect some foul play by miscreants.
It is suspected that the elephants died a couple of days ago, but the incident came to light later only. Meanwhile, the remains of another elephant was found at Kereng Sapori near Gamiri in Gohpur sub-division.
