DIPHU, June 9 - With only a few days remaining for the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) elections, the Government employees here have not received their salaries for the last two months.
According to reports, despite the KAAC elections drawing near, the employees have not received their monthly salaries for two months and if the pending salaries are not released then severe problems might crop up in the smooth conduct of the polls, the employees said.
It may be mentioned here that employees have already been appointed as polling personnel after being provided training.
It needs to be mentioned here that final preparation to conduct the KAAC election have already been completed. The elections are slated to be held on June 17.
