BARAMA, Aug 1 - With the aim of winning 2016 Assembly election, former Social Welfare Minister Rekha Rani Das Boro of Asam Gana Parishad has started her election campaigning by visiting villages in Barama constituency.

Rekha Rani Das Boro won the seat of Barama constituency in 1985 and 1996 and subsequently became a minister for two consecutive terms. She contributed a lot for the development of the constituency.

Moreover, she gave employment to the educated youths during her tenure .This time she has been trying her level best to win the minds of the people by visiting the villages in the constituency.

After visiting several villages, Rekha Rani Das Boro was delighted to see the workers and supporters love and dedication for the party and she has decided to contest the forthcoming election. The year 2013 was a fruitful year for the AGP party as Jyotish Sharma was successful in winning the seat of Paschim Number Bhag, Nathkuchi Gaon Panchayat and Tihu Zila Parishad. This boosted the confidence of Rekha Rani Das Boro. She requested the leaders and workers of AGP to spread awareness about their party among the public.
