UDALGURI, March 28 - The Udalguri district committee of the All Assam Gorkha Students� Union (AAGSU) today alleged that the ruling BJP and BPF are not serious about the burning problems of the Gorkha community in the State and the parties have been depriving them in all fronts, including political and land rights.
A press release issued by the student organisation here stated that if the political parties continue to humiliate the community in this way, the Gorkhas of Assam will be forced to give a befitting reply. The press release signed by Somraj Sonari and Sanjiv Khatiworah, president and general secretary respectively of the student organisation, said the BJP will understand the power of common people in the forthcoming general elections.
