GUWAHATI, April 22 - The Indian Red Cross Society, Assam State Branch, in association with the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), has conducted an awareness programme for safai karmacharis of the Corporation on the importance of using masks, gloves, etc.
The representatives of the Red Cross Society conducted the campaign in Division-I and II of GMC, during which they demonstrated the correct way of hand washing and distributed masks to the Safai Karmacharis.
This awareness programme will be conducted in all the six divisions of the Corporation.
Meanwhile, the State unit of the Mahadalit Parisangh, led by its city unit president Siva Basfor, today felicitated the safai karmacharis of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) and personnel of the Bharalumukh Police Station for their dedicated service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
