GUWAHATI, Feb 26 - The Kamrup Metro district administration has fixed March 4 as the date for recording the statements of individuals or organisations regarding the alleged custodial death of Lakhan Marak on February 9.
Marak (19) allegedly died after being taken into police custody by the personnel of the Panikhaiti Police Station.
�... hereby issue notice to individuals/organisations having knowledge of the said incident to appear before me between 11 am to 3 pm on March 4... for the purpose of recording statements which is likely to bring to light all aspects of the death of Lakhan Marak,� said an order issued by Esther Kathar, Additional District Magistrate, Kamrup Metro.
Statements will be recorded at the Kamrup Metro DC�s office here. Kathar is conducting the enquiry into the incident.
