GUWAHATI, April 18 - The Forest division of Kamrup East has registered a record revenue collection of Rs 12 crore in the 2017-18 financial year.
The revenue collected in the financial year of 2015-16 was just Rs 3 crore while in 2016-17 the total revenue collected was to the tune of Rs 11 crore, stated a press release issued here today.
A large number of forest offences were also detected during the period. Meanwhile, a new plan has been chalked out by the Kamrup East division for collection of more revenue in the current financial year, the release added.
