GUWAHATI, June 20 �Twelve packages of Assam CTC tea produced by the Halmari Tea Estate, were sold at a record price in the Guwahati Tea Auction Centre (GTAC) in its latest auction.This is the all time high price obtained by any Assam CTC tea in the Auction Centre
According to tea industry sources, the 12 packages of Assam324 kgs of BOP grade CTC tea of the Tea Estate were sold at a record price of Rs 225 per kg in the GTAC Sale no. 24 held on June 15 & 16 June. Madhuban Tea Company, a registered buyer of Guwahati Tea Auction Centre (GTAC), made the purchase.
Sources said that this is the highest ever-sold price recorded in GTAC.
