Reasonable price-based shop opened at Dhubri

GAURIPUR, July 15 - To control the excessive high price of essential commodities, the Deputy Commissioner, Dhubri held a meeting with the traders of Dhubri town recently and appealed them to open shops and sell commodities at reasonable price. And, as a result of his appeal, a shop was opened recently near the Jawahar Hindi High School along the Thakurbari Road at Dhubri town.

Customers have been requested to purchase their essential commodities like pulses, sugar, mustard oil, gram, etc., at suitable prices. The traders association also intends to open such shops in the town to sell potatoes, onion, etc., and customers may collect these commodities at reasonable prices from these shops.

The Deputy Commissioner, Dhubri directed the officials of the Civil Supply department to initiate action for opening such shops in other parts of the district so that the people of low-income groups can purchase their essential commodities at reasonable prices from these shops. People of all sections praised the initiative of the DC to control unabated rise in prices of essential commodities and urged him to open more shops in the rural areas also.
