DIMAPUR, Oct 8 - Nagaland Governor RN Ravi today expressed shock and grief at the passing away of former Governor of the State, Ashwani Kumar, in Shimla.
Kumar allegedly committed suicide at his residence in the Himachal Pradesh capital on Wednesday.
In his condolence message, Ravi said Kumar had been a thorough professional and an excellent human being throughout his life. His contribution to the people and society would be remembered for many years to come, he added.
Kumar had served the people of the country in various capacities, including as the Nagaland Governor, the Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation, Director General of Police, Himachal Pradesh, and the Chancellor of the APG Goyal Shimla University.
Ravi conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
