SHILLONG, July 9 - Suspended Meghalaya police Sub-Inspector Nurul Islam alleged of raping two minors in 2013 was today granted bail by a local Court here.
The court of special judge granted bail after Islam produced two new bailers. Earlier, Islam was sent to 14 days judicial custody by a local court. Islam is accused of raping two sisters in Ampati, after which he escaped from police custody. The police thereafter declared him an absconder, while Islam was regularly appearing before the Courts here.
