GUWAHATI, April 24 - Assam Chess Club, a sports promotion unit of NGO Akshayam, will organise a day-long rapid chess tournament at its Christianbasti, GS Road club premises on May 6.
The tournament will remain open for all and matches will be held in rapid time control format. The top five position holders will be awarded with cash while the top three players in each of the U-7, U-9, U-11, U-13 and Girls category will be awarded a trophy and a certificate each. Interested players may confirm their participation on or before May 4. For further details players may contact the club officials, stated a release.
