GUWAHATI, May 6 - Top seed and international rated player Deep Jyoti Borah and Sailen Kumar Das are leading the table jointly with three points each after completion of third round in the Rapid Round Robin Chess Tournament, organised by the Guwahati Chess Academy at their R G Baruah Road premises.
On the second day of the tournament Utkarsh Jalan and Mantu Kumar Maitra are in second position with two points each while Dhruba Jyoti Medhi and Kushal Sarma shares the third position with 1 point each.
In the third round Deep Jyoti Borah beat Utkarsh Jalan with black pieces while Sailen Kumar Das beat Kamal Deka with white pieces to be in joint lead. Mantu Kumar Maitra beat Dhrubajyoti Medhi and Kushal Sarma beat Dr. Anupam Deka in their third round game, a press release said.
