GUWAHATI, Aug 8 - A man has been arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP) after a passenger alleged that he tried to abuse her on a moving train last night. The incident occurred near Lumding junction.
GRP sources said the 20-year-old victim alleged that the accused man �misbehaved� with her and tried to molest her on the BG Express plying from Dimapur to Guwahati. The victim was travelling with her elder brother and sister.
�The Railway Protection Force (RPF) handed over the accused to us this morning at around 4:30 am. A team from GRP Lumding has been called and they have taken custody of the accused. A case been registered at Lumding. The victim�s medical examination is being done,� a senior GRP official said.
The accused has been identified as S Karaiba Wilson (26) of Senapati district of Manipur.
