Preetpal, who loves mathematics, said he wants to pursue higher education in any top engineering college of the country and then pursue his career as a scientist.

Talking about his success mantra, Preetpal stated that maintaining regularity in studies is very essential for a student of science stream. He is also a quizzer and table tennis player.

Ayushi, who scored 93 per cent marks to secure the sixth spot, said, Yesterday I played the guitar the whole day to get relief from stress. I love both physics and guitar. My favourite guitarist is Sungha Jung from South Korea.

A resident of Chenikuthi area of the city, Ayushi wants to be a computer engineer.

I had no specific timetable and used to study whenever possible. I think one should give equal attention to all subjects and success will come spontaneously. I want to continue higher education either in IIT or in NIT. I also have a plan to go in for research in future, she said.
