GUWAHATI, Sept 24 � Rangdajied United Sports Club of Shillong, outshot GSA A Division champions Green Valley Sports Club by an aggregate of 5-4 goals in the last pre quarterfinal match of the 61st Bharat Ratna Lokapriya Bordoloi Trophy Football Tournament.

After ending the regulation time with score line 1-1, Rangdajied converted four against Green Valley�s three.

It was a well contested encounter and both the teams created some anxious moments in front of their opponent goal.

Green Valley took early lead in the very second minute as their Nigerian striker Michal Lucky Kelechukwu made a tricky anticipation of a back pass from Rangdajied defender Enyinnaya Loveday. Intercepting the ball Lucky kept his cool and beat the opponent goal keeper with an ease.

The Shillong players made a smart fightback and drew parity in the 29th minute. Anticipating a floater from defender Restom Khriam Nagen Tamung headed home.

In the second session both the teams created several openings but failed to break the dead lock. Shillong striker Joy Mrong Kharraswai missed the easiest scoring opportunity in the 77th minute. He shot straight to the Green Valley goal keeper�s gloves from inside the goal area.

Green Valley�s George Prince also squandered a couple opportunities in the second session.

In the penalty shoot out, Baba Tunde, Bhola Prasad, Daphor Bareh and Enyinnaya Loveday hit the target for the Shillong side while their goal keeper Surjay Kumar Pariyar�s shot went out.

On the other hand, For Green Valley Sanjeeva Rongpi, Michal Lucky and Maneswar Muchahary could convert their shots while Bijoy Borgohain and Nnamdi Jonathon failed to shoot home.
