Rally to create awareness on NRC process

TINSUKIA, Aug 25 - Concerned over the poor response from the indigenous people for filling up of updated NRC forms in Tinsukia, Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Jorhat and Golaghat districts of upper Assam, Lorin Jyoti Gogoi, General Secretary of All Assam Students� Union (AASU) appealed to the people to submit the required NRC forms before August 31, the last date for doing so.

While flagging off the bike rally organised by the Tinsukia District Students� Union (TDSU) with the cooperation of Tinsukia district unit of All Tai Ahom Students� Union (ATASU) today to create awareness about the importance of registering in the NRC, the AASU general secretary said that the students� body had taken all the initiatives for helping the indigenous people of the State for filling up the NRC form with necessary documents for registration.
