SILCHAR, Aug 30 - Lioness Club of Silchar celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with the 147 Bn of CRPF on Friday.

At a function held at the CRPF district headquarters at Kashipur, members of Lioness Club, officers and jawans of CRPF together with the local people celebrated Raksha Bandhan with enthusiasm. The members of Lioness Club tied rakhis on the wrists and applied tilak on the foreheads of the CRPF personnel.

SK Sahu, second-in-command, 147 battalion CRPF, said that the festival embodies the timeless bond between brothers and sisters. He expressed gratitude towards the members of the Lioness Club for celebrating the festival with the jawans. Neeru Sharma, president, Lioness Club, said that Raksha Bandhan celebrates the sacred relationship between brothers and sisters. �We wanted to reach out to the brave jawans who dedicate their lives for service to the nation leaving their homes,� Sharma said.
