Rajnath to inaugurate ICP at Moreh on March 15

MOREH, March 11 - Security measures have been tightened in and around Moreh where Union Home Minister Rajnath singh is scheduled to inaugurate the much awaited Integrated Check post(ICP) in Manipur�s Tengnoupal district bordering Myanmar. Moreh, a border town located about 110 km from Imphal, is India�s gateway to South Asian countries.

The construction of the ICP, which is underway on a war footing near the (International) border gate number 1, will be inaugurated by the Union Home Minister when he arrives here to attend the 1st anniversary of BJP-led coalition government in the State on March 15. BJP national president, Amit Shah is also scheduled to take part in the anniversary celebration.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also invited to attend the anniversary celebrations of the new government during his scheduled visit to the State to inaugurate the five day 105th Indian Science Congress to be held at Manipur University near Imphal on March 16.

The Prime Minister is likely to lay the foundation stone of the National Sports University besides inaugurating other major projects during the visit.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said the government is observing �inauguration fortnight� to inaugurate 116 projects across the State in connection with the 1st anniversary.
